Tang Sanzang (Chinese monk Yuan Chang) once traveled there during the 11th Buddhist century and studied the Dharma. As well as being the president of this university. In Buddhism, it was once the most famous university in the world. About 1,500 years ago, there were more than 10,000 monks who resided here to study Dharma.
