The Tateshina Kogen Barakura English Garden opened in the early summer of 1990 as Japan's first authentic English garden. From June 19th to July 9th, 2023, Japan's top gardening show, Barakura Rose Week will be held here. Reasonably-priced advance admission vouchers with an afternoon tea set (valued at JP¥3000) are on sale. The entire garden was created by a British expert on land covering an area of approximately 10,000 square meters. The English-style garden is a comfortable and healing space with gentle colors and scents of flowers, as well as the sounds of butterflies and bees flying about and birds singing.
