All you need to know
Your checked baggage allowance is the total number of bags, their size and weight that you are able to check into the aircraft hold.

The FREE checked baggage allowance for all Air Mediterranean passengers including children, in all booking classes is ONE (1) piece of maximum 20Kg and it is not possible to split the total weight across multiple bags.

Regardless of class, a checked baggage can be up to a maximum size per piece of circumference 158cm (width + height + depth) including any bits sticking out like the handle, pockets and wheels.

-Please note that for infants NO FREE checked baggage allowance applies.
-For Overweight, Excess Baggage and/or Extra Baggage, please check the applicable charges below.

Your carry-on baggage allowance is the total number of bags, their size and weight that you are able to carry on board the aircraft.

The carry-on baggage allowance for all Air Mediterranean passengers including children, in all booking classes is ONE (1) piece of maximum 8Kg and maximum dimensions 56 x 45 x 25cm (22 x 18 x 10in).

During Check-in or Boarding, you may be asked to place your carry-on baggage in our special sizer to ensure your bag does not exceed the set limits.

Additionally, each passenger except infants is permitted to carry one (1) handbag/laptop bag up to 5kg, and with maximum dimensions 40 x 30 x 15cm (16 x 12 x 6in) and which must be placed under the seat in front.

If your carry-on baggage is over the allowable limits, we will require you to check the bag for transport in the cargo hold. In this case we will determine whether you exceed the free checked baggage allowances for your ticket, and if so you will be charged based on our excess baggage policy.

History

Air Méditerranée was established and started operations in 1997 and had its headquarters in Le Fauga, near Toulouse.In January 2015, the airline filed for receivership. By January 2016, there had been offers by potential investors to secure new funds for the struggling airline with no final decision made by the authorities.
On 15 February 2016 the airline was liquidated by the courts after amassing debts of €60m and all aircraft were returned to their lessors.
