In November 2010, Cape Air announced that it was considering new aircraft types to replace the Cessna 402. On April 18, 2011, Tecnam, an Italian company announced it will be producing the Tecnam P2012 Traveller. The aircraft was slated to be ready for delivery in 2016.The aircraft made its first flight in July 2016 with deliveries scheduled for late 2018. As of December 2017, deliveries have been moved to Q1 of 2019.

In 1993, the airline began offering flights between South Florida and the Keys and in 1998, our Caribbean route took flight. Finally, in 2004 the airline began service in Micronesia and added 2 new aircraft to our fleet, the ATR-42, which served our routes between Guam, Rota and Saipan.
