Braathens Regional Airlines (BRA) is a Swedish regional airline in Trollhättan.

The airline operates scheduled services to destinations in Finland, Norway and Sweden. Braathens Regional Aviation AB also operates charter services to more than 60 destinations all over Europe.

Braathens Regional changed its name to Braathens Regional Airlines in March 2016 and together with Braathens Regional Aviation started operating all flights for the virtual airline BRA Braathens Regional Airlines uniting the previously separated brands of Malmö Aviation and Sverigeflyg.

Braathens Regional took delivery of its maiden ATR72-600 on Friday, November 6. SE-MKA (cn 1276) was originally destined for MASwings(MY, Kota Kinabalu) where it was to have become 9M-MYE on the Malaysian registry.

The turboprop is the first of five ATR72-600s the Swedish operator committed to as part of an order with Avions de Transport Régional (Toulouse Blagnac) which includes ten options. The new ATR72s will enable Braathens Aviation to replace its ageing fleet of twelve Saab 2000s while adding to its existing fleet of five ATR72-500s (all leased out to fellow BRA - Braathens Regional Airlines affiliates Kullaflyg and Gotlandsflyg.)
